Notice of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Queensland Arboricultural Association Inc.

Dear Members,

This is to advise you of the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the members of the Queensland Arboricultural Association Inc (QAA). The details of this meeting are as follows:

Date:            Saturday 16 November 2024

Time:           9.00am with registration from 8.30am

Location:    QAA Head Office, 26-40 Delancey Street, Cleveland, QLD 4163

Agenda:

1. Welcome and Opening
2. Confirmation of Minutes from the Previous AGM
3. Presentation of Annual Reports:
   • President’s Report
   • Treasurer’s Financial Report
4. Election of Office Bearers for 2024/25
5. Appointment of Auditor for 2024/25
6. General Business
7. Closing

Important Information:

• Voting Eligibility: Only financial members of the association are eligible to vote. Ensure your membership is current by November 1, 2024.
• Nominations for Office Bearers: Nominations must be submitted in writing to the Secretary no later than October 30, 2024.
• Proxies: Members unable to attend may appoint a proxy by submitting a completed proxy form to the Secretary by November 7, 2024.

The AGM will be conducted in compliance with the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Queensland) and the rules/constitution of the Queensland Arboricultural Association.

At the meeting, members will have the opportunity to:

• find out about the QAA’s operations and finances
• speak about any items on the agenda
• vote on any resolutions proposed.

At the meeting, members will be asked to vote to:

• accept the minutes of the last annual general meeting
• accept the annual report
• accept the auditor’s report
• accept the annual financial statements
• appoint and pay an auditor
• elect Executive Committee

• Nomination form – Use this form to nominate someone for a position on the QAA Executive Committee
• Submission form – Use this form if you a member of the QAA and have something you’d like tabled at the AGM
• Proxy form – Use this form if you are a member of the QAA and would like to nominate a proxy to vote on your behalf at the meeting
