Think you’ve got what it takes to climb with the best? The QTCC is your chance to put your skills to the test in front of peers, industry leaders, and the community. QTCC features a full line-up of internationally recognised climbing events designed to mirror the challenges arborists face in the field — speed, precision, problem-solving, and above all, safety.

Friday:

🪢 Gear Check

Safety is our top priority. A gear check will be conducted on Friday morning to ensure all equipment meets ISA standards.

  • If you’re new to competitions or need a refresher, the ISA has a Gear Check Video to guide you through the process.

  • To save time on competition day, you can complete your gear check paperwork in advance. The form is available here and will also be on hand Friday morning.

  • On the day, once your paperwork is submitted, you’ll receive your competitor t-shirt (sizes first come, first served, with priority for early registrants).

QTCC will follow the 2024–2025 ITCC Rule Book. All competitors are expected to be familiar with the rules before the event. You can view the rule book [here].

ATTENTION: The ISA ITCC Rules Committee has released clarifying language for Section 7.2.1 Ascent Event Rules in the ITCC Rule Book (2024). Please click here to learn more.

First Place:
  • Paid Entrance only to compete as a QAA representative at the International Tree Climbing Championships (ITCC)**
  • Option to compete as a QAA representative at the Australian National Tree Climbing Championships (ATCC)**

Second Place:
  • Paid Entrance only into the Australian National Tree Climbing Championships (ATCC)

→ You need to be a current financial member of the QAA to be eligible to win major prizes at QTCC.
→ If you are offered a place at ITCC, ATCC or APTCC as the next in line beyond the top 5, please note that entrance fees will not be covered.
