VTCC 2016 in Wangaratta

We’ve all been looking forward to the 2016 VTCC for a long time. We are back to our traditional early November date and can’t wait to see you all there for what will be a great day of competition climbing.

Competitors can book here, you will receive by return email links to the waiver and gear check forms. Please make sure you print these and bring them along. Be there at 6.30am to collect your shirts, submit your gear check and waiver forms. Run through commences at 7.00am and the competition begins at 7.30am sharp! Don’t be late. Masters event should begin about 2.00pm, this depends on the number of competitors and the weather.

Please note: Only members can participate, however if you’re not currently a financial member, the good news is, you can join (or rejoin) and also register for the event.  Don’t know if you’re a current member? Check the footer in this email.

We have climbers from around the country looking to test themselves against Victoria’s best and a new group of students participating for the first time. There’s no doubt in my mind we could have more than 60 competitors which will be a record for VTIO and the largest regional tree climbing competition I have found records for.

We will be relying on those fantastic supporters of the industry to, once again, come out and help manage the event by volunteering their time as technical judges, time keepers and assistants.

The Lion’s Club will be there for breakfast, lunch and dinner to feed the competitors and volunteers. For all you spectators, you will be able to purchase food.

Ged Reynolds and Jason Askew have helped us get Apex Park ready for action, get ready for a beautiful day beside the great Ovens River. Our sponsors are keen to see you there, so grab a coffee, something to eat, head over to their stalls in between watching the best climbers, the newest climbers and all those in between at the Wangaratta 2016 Victorian Tree Climbing Competition.
